DEMISE OF HOMER SLAWSON
Homer H. Slawson
Homer H. Slawson died Sunday evening at his home. 152 Milton Avenue. Mr. Slawson was taken ill several weeks ago as the result of stomach trouble. His illness soon took a turn for the worse and he was obliged to take to his bed. By the death of this young man Janesville loses one respected by a large circle of friends.
Mr. Slawson was employed as bookkeeper at the Janesville Machine Works and was thirty-four years of age. He leaves a wife and three small children. to the bereaved ones the tenderest of sympathies will be extended. Funeral services will be held from the home tomorrow afternoon.

OBITUARIES
HOMER DON SLAWSON
Homer Don Slawson, 68, 532 S. Main St., who operated antique shops in Chicago and Janesville for 39 years, died Sunday morning in Mercy Hospital where he was admitted Saturday. He had suffered a heart attack June 11.
Born in Janesville, Jan. 10, 1896, he was the son of Homer and Frances Holloway Slawson. He attended Janesville schools, including Janesville Business College and also a Chicago school. He worked in the office of the old Janesville Machine Co. and its successor, the Samson Tractor Co., Janesville, until entering the antiques business.
Mr. Slawson and Ella Jacobson were married in Chicago Oct. 6, 1917.
He was predeceased by his parents, one sister and a son, Lt. Homer Don Slawson, AFS pilot and plane commander who lost his life in combat in the South Pacific theater April 12, 1944.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. katherine Lindholm Slawson, Rockford; cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Wolfgram Funeral Home, the Rev. Sidney J. Francis, First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tuesday evening.
