    Name:
    Evelyn M. Baumgartner, 93, of Wabeno, who had recently been residing at Nu-Roc Community Healthcare, passed away on Tuesday October 14, 2014 at Nu-Roc. She was born October 17, 1920 in Wabeno to the late Robert and Barbara (Davis) Peterson. In the past she resided in Wabeno, Crandon, and Milwaukee.

    Evelyn graduated from Wabeno High School and years later from the Milwaukee School of Nursing, where she received her LVN degree. On June 28, 1941 she married the love of her life, the late Edward Baumgartner. Together they raised three children. The late Roberta Pirus, Bonnie Sohl, and Charlie Baumgartner. Evelyn and Edward were also Foster parents for the state of Wisconsin to many blessed children over a course of 25 years. Evelyn was a long time member of the Jehovah Witness Faith and member of the congregation in Crandon. Over the years she enjoyed reading, gardening and painting. She painted many pictures of Forest County?s local beauty.

    Survivors that are left to cherish her life include: her daughter Bonnie (Chuck) Sohl of Midland, TX, a son Charles ?Charlie? Baumgartner of Dickenson, ND. Seven grandchildren: Kimberly, Rob, Kallie, Michael, Carolyn, Chip, and Chad, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, daughter Roberta, Sister Marian Buchko, and Brother Wesley Peterson.

    Funeral services for Evelyn will be held on Saturday October 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home in Wabeno. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Wabeno. Weber-Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

    He was born on March 18, 1922, in Wabeno, Wis ., the son of Robert H. and Barbara (Davis) Peterson.



    Wesley was employed by Miller Brewery in Milwaukee for 30 years.

    He loved anything to do with music.

    Wesley is survived by a sister, Evelyn Baumgartner; two nephews, Joseph (Becky) Buchko and Gerald (Mary) Buchko; four nieces, Joan Wrege, Barbara Gheller, Claudette (Clyde) Taivalmaa and Bonnie (Chuck) Sohl; and many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
