    Ardmore - Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Mildred (Slawson) Paul, 85, of Ringling, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery.

    Evelyn was born June 17, 1925, at Grady to the late Mr. John Lunsford Slawson and Mrs. Bessie (Miller) Slawson. She departed this life Saturday Morning of December 4, 2010, at a Ardmore nursing facility.

    Evelyn was a native to this area being raised here attending school at Grady, Atlee and graduating high school from Ringling in the early 40's. She and the late Mr. Karl Malcom "Snooty" Paul were united in marriage the 12th of January, 1946, at Healdton. They resided for a short period in Pearsall, Texas, before making their home in Ringling in 1949. Evelyn was always a very devoted homemaker and housewife to her husband and children. She loved to sew, especially doll clothes for her grandchildren, and also enjoyed quilting. She liked watching old movies, particularly old westerns, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ringling.

    Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Karl, who died Feb. 1, 1990; daughter, Donna Wade ? 1973; sisters, Roxie, Verna and Barbara; and brothers, Donald and Terry Dale.

    Survivors include, her two sons, Ronald Paul and wife, Belle of Ardmore, and Larry Paul and wife, Dee of Mesquite, Texas; sister, Patty Woods of Sandpoint, Ind.; three brothers, Melburn Slawson of Rush Springs, Johnnie Slawson of Shawnee, and Montie Slawson of Jimtown; six grandchildren, Terry, Vance, Laura, Carla, Brandi, and Heather; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.

    Casket bearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.

    RINGLING-Services for Donna Kay Wade, 21, were to be 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church, Ringling with Rev. Joe Wiggins, Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiating and Rev. Charley Addy, Ringling, assisting. Burial was to follow in Odd Fellow Cemetery.
    Mrs. Wade was Killed in an automobile accident Saturday near Wilson. She was born March 31, 1951 at Ringling. She attended Leon school and was a 1968 graduate of Ringling High School.
    Survivors include a daughter, Brandi Don; her parents Mr and Mrs. Karl M. Paul, Ringling; two brothers Ronald Gene Paul, Ringling, and Larry Paul, Dallas, Tex; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Slawson, Leon; and paternal grandfather F.W. Paul, Ringling.
    Services were under direction of Leslie Funeral Home.

    RINGLING WOMAN DIES IN COLLISION
    A Ringling woman was dead on arrival at an Ardmore hospital following a two-car collision near Wilson Saturday morning.
    Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Ray Hudson said Donna Kay Wade , 21, was a passenger in her own 1972 Volkswagon which was driven by Thomas C. Tucker, 24, 420 H St. NW, Ardmore. She was killed when the VW was in collision with a 1969 Ford on U.S. 70 at the north edge of Wilson on a service road.
    A passenger in the Ford, 11 year-old Susan A. Bazzrea, is in critical condition, Hudson said. The Ford was driven by Faron Henry Bazzrea, 16, also of Wilson. He and Tucker received minor laceration, according to the trooper.
    The VW was traveling east Hudson said when the Ford turned left across the highway without yielding. Both cars were demolished in the smashup.
    The accident occurred about 11:20 a.m.
