Florence Mae Lukach, a lifelong resident of Maybrook, NY, and a former sewing machine operator for Lindy's Dress Shop, in Montgomery, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at Valley View Nursing Home, in Goshen. She was 89 years old.

Florence Mae was the daughter of Byron Charles and Florence Hildreth Hawkins Shepard, born January 29, 1918, in Maybrook. She was the widow of Michael J. Lukach, Jr.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Valley View for their care given to Florence Mae over all the years she was in the nursing home.

She is survived by son, John Lukach and his wife, Delores of Newburgh; grandson, Brett Lukach and his wife, Colleen of Westtown, NY; great-grandchildren, Sean and Sarah.

Funeral services will be private with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, in Montgomery.
