  1. 1.  Epaphras LORD was born on 26 Dec 1709 in Hartford, Hartford County,Connecticut; died on 25 Nov 1799 in Marlborough, Hartford County, Connecticut.

    He was Deputy for Colchester to the Conn. General Assembly, Oct. 1743, May 1744, May, July and Aug. 1745, and May 1754. In May 1747 he headed the petitioners who asked for the establishment of the parish of Marlborough which later became the town of that name. He was a Justice of the Peace for Hartford County from 1751 to 1757 inclusive, and from 1760 to 1779 inclusive.

    Epaphras, fourth son of Richard and Abigail (Warren) Lord, of Hartford; M.A. (Yale college 1729); was probably a lawyer. He resided at first in Wethersfield, and then for a short time in Hartford. He married in Middletown, 17 Mar 1730/1, Hope Phillips, who died 1 Dec. 1736, having borne him two sons and a daughter. Before her death, he had removed to Colchester, where he married Lucy Bulkeley.

    Epaphras married Hope PHILLIPS on 17 Mar 1731. Hope was born on 17 Mar 1711; died on 1 Dec 1736 in Colchester, New London Co., Connecticut. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Epaphras married Lucy BULKELEY on 25 Nov 1742 in Colchester, Connecticut. Lucy (daughter of Rev. John BULKELEY and Patience PRENTICE) was born on 29 Jan 1719/20 in Colchester, New London Co, Connecticut; died on 10 May 1800 in Colchester, New London Co., Connecticut. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
