Mary Lee Springer, 85 of Garden City died Monday, May 12, 2014 at her home in Garden City. She was born January 3, 1929 in St. John, Kansas the daughter of Bud & Lena (Mull) Ward.
Mary Lee grew up in St. John, Kansas where she graduated from high school. She then attended and graduated from the Hutchinson Business School. On June 2, 1956 she married R.L. Springer in St. John, Kansas. They moved to Garden City from Liberal in the early 1960's and have lived in Garden City since. In 1983, Mary Lee and her daughters started Little Britches Infant & Children's Wear. Mary Lee enjoyed playing in various bridge clubs in Garden City. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her three children Rex Lynn Springer of Colorado Springs, Co, Leigh Nuzum of Garden City, Ks, & Sandra DeVore of St. Cloud, Fl.; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband R. L. who died on January 23, 1994. She is also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Kenneth Howard Ward.
A private family graveside service has taken place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City. There will be no calling hours. The family requests memorials given to the Mary Lee Springer Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.

Mary married Reinhart Leonard SPRINGER in 1956. Reinhart was born on 26 Sep 1918 in Hoisington, Barton Co., kansas; died on 23 Jan 1994 in Garden City, Finney Co., Kansas; was buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Garden City, Finney Co., Kansas. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
