    Billie was born to Robert and Alta (Slawson) Pigman, in Lehigh. The family later moved to Corwith. He attended school in Corwith, Hayfield and Britt; graduating from Britt High School in 1943.
    Following graduation, Billie entered the Army and served in the 183rd Ordinance from 1943 to 1946.
    Billie was united in marriage to Phyllis Draves on June 9, 1948. The couple made their home and farmed near Crystal Lake. Billie also delivered motor homes for Winnebago Industries. They were blessed with four children.
    Billie enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.
    He is survived by his wife Phyllis; four children: Diane (Jon) Taylor, of Bullhead City, Ariz., Paul (Vickie) Pigman, of Britt, Donna Pigman of Dumont, and William Pigman of Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren, Chris (Susan) Perkins, Charity Pigman, Josh Carter, Alana Perkins, Michael Pigman, Becky Pigman, Sara Pigman, Jacquie Pigman and Tony Pigman; great-grandchildren: Natalie Baker and Macoy Perkins; three sisters: Marilee Strasser of Mason City, Lois Bauer of Garner, and Doris Montgomery of Fort Dodge; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
    Preceded in death by his parents.

    Billie married Phyllis Elaine DRAVES on 9 Jun 1948 in Crystal Lake, Iowa. Phyllis was born on 2 Oct 1928 in Clear Lake, Cerro Gordo Co., Iowa; died on 21 Apr 2013 in Kalispell, Flathead Co., Montana; was buried in Crystal Lake Twp.     Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Grace United Methodist Church, 200 14th Street N.E., with Rev. Steve Hansen officiating. Interment will take place at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM ? 7:00 PM on Friday (September 6, 2013) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue.

    Doris Montgomery, 84, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Fort Dodge Health and Rehabilitation. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

    Doris is survived by her four children, Steven (Julie) Montgomery of Duncombe, Iowa, Darrell Montgomery of Otho, Iowa, Joyce (Richard) Kendall of Woodland, Washington, and Sharon (Thomas) Ham of Montezuma, Iowa; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her two sisters, Marilee Strasser of Mason City, Iowa and Lois Bauer of Garner, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman; a son, Stanley; her parents; three grandchildren and a brother, Billie Pigman.

    Doris Darlene Pigman, the daughter of Robert and Alta (Slawson) Pigman, was born November 20, 1928 in Hayfield, Iowa. She later moved to the Fort Dodge and the Otho areas. On August 20, 1947, Doris married Sherman Montgomery in Fort Dodge and she worked for Globe Union for 20 years. Sherman passed away on February 16, 1981. After Sherman?s death, Doris continued to live in the Fort Dodge area where she enjoyed sewing and quilting. In February of 2005, Doris moved to what is now called Fort Dodge Health and Rehab.

    GARNER ? Lois M. Bauer, 84, of Garner died Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.

    Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, October 21st at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garner with Rev. Scott Kozisek officiating. Burial will be in Concord Township Cemetery.

    Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M., Monday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., in Garner with a VFW Auxiliary service at 7 P.M. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

    Lois Mae Bauer, the daughter of Robert and Alta (Slawson) Pigman, was born August 1, 1930 in Hayfield. She attended rural school in Madison Township, Britt Community Schools, and graduated from Moorland High School in 1949. After high school, she moved back to Britt where she met her future husband Ewald ?Pete? Bauer. The couple was united in marriage on April 21, 1951 in Austin, Minnesota. They lived in Tripoli and in several towns in central Iowa, until they moved to Garner in 1967. Lois owned and operated Lois?s Truck Stop from 1971 to 1988. She also worked at Concord Care Center until her retirement. Lois enjoyed quilting, canoeing, gardening and camping.

    She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, LWML and was a lifelong member of the Garner VFW Auxiliary.

    Lois is survived by her children, Hal (Cindy) Bauer of Kanawha, Janelle Smith (Lee White) of Garner, Connie Bauer of Garner, Dallas Bauer of Garner, Dean Bauer of Forest City and Mark Bauer of Garner; daughter in-law, Julie Beers of Crystal Lake; sister in-law, Norma Heiser of Waverly; seventeen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete Bauer; son, Duane Pigman; son in-law, Mark Schwem; two sisters, Doris Montgomery and Marilee Strasser; and brother, Billie Pigman.
