    Amos G. Bonar
    Amos G. Bonar, retired farmer, 78, died early Thursday morning 6/30/1938, at his home in Powhatan. he had spend his entire life in that district and was a son of Dawson and Elizabeth Bonar. Surviving are his wife and three children: Earl Bonar, George Bonar and Mrs. Eva Walters, of Powhatan. A sister at Little Hocking also survives. funeral services were conducted at 1:00 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, in charge of Rev. Cole of the M.E. Church. burial was made in the Powhatan Cemetery.

    Earl G. Bonar

    Funeral services for Earl G. Bonar, prominent 60 year-old farmer of Route One, Powhatan were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the late residence. Burial was in the Powhatan Cemetery. Mr. Bonar died about five o'clock Saturday evening, October 3, (1954), when he suffered an acute heart attack when stung by a yellow jacket while driving his car near Bethesda. A native of the community, he was a son of the late Amos and Charlotte Schnegg Bonar. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Estella Fraley Bonar; one son, Vernon Bonar of Shadyside; one daughter, Mrs. Amos Caldwell, of West Bellaire; one brother, George Bonar, of Powhatan, Route One; one sister, Mrs. Eva Walter, of Powhatan, Route One, and two grandchildren.

    Her Obituary reads:

    Mrs. Eva Walter

    Mrs. Eva Lee Walter, of Clover Ridge, Powhatan Point, Route One, died at her home, Thursday afternoon, April 19, 1956, at 4:15 o'clock, after an illness of six months. She was from in Belmont County on January 25, 1891, a daughter of Amos and Lottie Schnegg Bonar; and had resided most of her life in the Powhatan area. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence Walter; a brother, George E. Bonar, of Powhatan, and two foster sons, John Lewis, of Powhatan and Walter Bosley, at home. She was preceded in death be a brother, Earl in 1955. Mrs. Walter was a member of the Grandview Christian Church of Clover Ridge. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at one o'clock at the Dean Funeral Home in Bellaire with the Rev. Charles Rock officiating. Interment was in the Powhatan Cemetery.

    GEORGE BONAR

    George Edward Bonar, 83, of Powhatan Point, died at his home on Saturday afternoon, December 31, 1966 at 12:45 o'clock. He was born in Powhatan, March 30, 1883, and had resided there al his life. A retired farmer, Mr. Bonar was a member of Moriah Lodge A.F. and A.M., at Powhatan. Surviving are his wife, Eva Ramsay Bonar, one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Raliant of Columbus; two sons, Wiliam Bonar of Carrollton and Amos Bonar of Cleveland and twelve grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock in the Toothman Funeral Home at Jacobsburg, with the Rev. Larry Kline of Jacobsburg Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Powhatan Cemetery.
