Lavinia had worked at Parker Pen, until her marriage when she then stayed at home raising her children and was a Cub Scout Leader. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church serving on the Altar Guild, and enjoyed bird watching, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and reading Harlequin Novels.
