- Richard Hart, Jr., born in Portsmouth in 1667, died before June 1744, when his will was proved. residence: Little Compton near the Tiverton line.
He married first about 1693 Hannah (William?). He was married second in Little Compton 31 Oct. 1708 by Joseph Church, justice, to Amey Gibbs.
By tradition it is said his wife Amey long outlived him. there was a place on his farm with five Hart family graves and the path that led to it was called the Amey Hart Path, as she had visited theses graves so frequently that she had worn a path. It is the farm of the late Eugene A. Hart. [1]
