Name |
Clarice Elizabeth SLOSSON [2] |
- April 6, 2014, Clarice Teesdale, our beloved mother and grandmother, joined her loving husband, Gene, in heaven.
She was born Nov. 22, 1931, to George and Elizabeth Slosson in Omak, Wash., and passed away at her home in Bridger. She grew up in Tacoma, Wash., and graduated from the College of Puget Sound with a bachelor's degree in education. She taught English, drama and literature in Granger, Wash., and then in Sequim, Wash., where she met Eugene Teesdale. They married in 1957 and lived in Washington until May 1988, when they moved to Gene's hometown of Bridger to relax and enjoy their retirement years.
Clarice was a member of Eastern Star and served as Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls. An avid reader, she served on the Carbon County Library board and volunteered weekly at the Bridger Library. She enjoyed crocheting and crafts.
Preceded in death by her husband Eugene and sister Aletha, Clarice is survived by her sister, JoAnn Parker; her children and grandchildren, Nancy Bostwick (Jillian and Jonathan), Janice Mosich (Anthony, Jesse and Kyler), David (Debbi) Teesdale (Nick and Nathan), and Danny (Renee) Teesdale; as well as her great-granddaughter, Sophie.
Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, at Bridger United Methodist Church. Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel and memories may be shared with the family at www.dahlfuneralchapel.com.
