  	Helene M Phillips (nee Schoonmaker), was called to rest on June 10, 2022. She was born on September 14, 1929, to parents Russell J. and Amalia Muller Schoonmaker from Port Jervis, NY. She married the love of her life, Alvord Phillips Jr. on February 11th, 1947, and was blessed with a large loving family. She is survived by her son Russell Phillips and his wife Kathy, her daughters Laurie Phillips and Helayne Phillips, and her daughter-in-law Kathleen Phillips. Helene was blessed with twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Helene was preceded in death by her husband Alvord Phillips Jr. and her son Gary Phillips, as well as her daughter Jacquelyn Savannah. Helene is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends that she considered family. Helene's family was her greatest treasure. She was a very proud mother and grandmother. She was an active member of the Democratic Party. She was also a member of the Drew Methodist church choir, the Tri-state Community chorus, and the local chapter of the Knit Wits knitting group. Her love of music led to her many performances with the Presby Players, of which she was also a board member. Helene loved to sing and would always have a song in her heart for whoever needed to hear one. Helene's presence with her family and friends will be greatly missed. Although we know what a wonderful reunion in heaven she is having with her loving parents, her dear husband Al, whom she has missed very much, and her two children who left this earth too soon.
