- The New York Genealogical and Biographical record: On 23 October 1817 Luther and Mary Ann Dauchy of Ridgefield, Fairfield Co., Connecticut, quitclaimed one and one-half acres to her half-brother's son, Henry Hait. Luther, engaged in manufacturing and noted as a tanner, was enumerated on the 1820 census of Ridgefield, Fairfield County, with two males under 10, one male 26-45, two females under 10, and one female 16-26, who was too young to be Mary Ann. Luther and Mary Ann reportedly had at least one child, Keeler Hoyt Dauchy, born in Stamford, 26 February 1813. [1]
