- Benjamin Weaver lived in Middletown, R.I. By his will and real estate, he must have been a wealthy man for his time; he deeded land to his sons Benjamin and Thomas, and willed them both farms, and four Negro slaves. He served on the petit jury October 7, 1730, August 17, 1744, January 3, 1749, and August 26, 1752 and on the grand jury, July 31, 1734, July 29, 1735, October, 1735, June (Quar) 1736, and October 1739. He was surveyor of highways, August 30, 1743. His will as made August 17, 1752, proved September 16, 1754. [1]
