- John De Montagu, Knt., K.G., Earl of Salisbury, Lord Montagu, Lord Monthermer, son and heir, was born about 1350/1 (aged thirty-nine at death of his father), and was nephew and heir of William de Montagu, Earl of Salisbury. He was summoned to Parliament from 23 Nov 1392. John De Montagu, Earl of Salisbury, having conspired against King Henry IV, was beheaded at Cirencester on 7 Jan 1399/1400, and was buried there. [1]
