    Beverly I. Peterson, 87, of Grace Willowbrook, Eau Claire, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Mayo Luther Hospital.

    Bev was born June 10, 1926, the daughter of Hugh and Blanche (Burns) Brice in Eau Claire, WI. Bev married Robert Peterson on June 7, 1947 in Eau Claire. Bev worked at the Carney Insurance and Samuelsons. Bev?s favorite job was working in the library at Halmstad and Southview Elementary Schools in Chippewa Falls until her retirement in 1991.

    Bev was a member of the Pleasant Hour Homemakers for 65 years and was treasurer for many years. She was active in Hallie 4-H for many years, her neighborhood directing plays, writing poetry, and planning bridal showers. Bev was an active member of First Baptist Church in Eau Claire for over 50 years. Later she attended Eau Claire Wesleyan Church. Bev also enjoyed hanging out with her Red Hat friends.

    Bev is survived by her children, Judith Ritter, James (Nancy) Peterson, Allan Peterson, Daniel (Diana) Peterson, and Debra (Troy) Koteras, all of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Heather Ritter and Robert (Michelle) Ritter, Elizabeth and Anna Peterson, Christopher Peterson, Kip (Tina) Wilkinson, Joylyn and Nathan Hanson, Brice, Shawn (fiance' Michelle Froehlich) and Seth Peterson, and Benjamin and Keah Koteras; great-children, Hannah and Lili Wilkinson, Allahna Ritter and Carter Peterson; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Peterson, parents, son-in-law Harold Ritter and several brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.

    Bev loved playing the piano, gardening, spending time with family and friends, taking care of everyone else, volunteering, playing games, attending her grandchildren?s school functions and ball games, and acting.

    Funeral service will take place at 11 am on Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Eau Claire Wesleyan Church, 2405 Keith Street, Eau Claire, WI 54701. Burial will take place in the Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington immediately following the service. Visitation will take place on Thursday at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home from 4-8 pm and on Friday morning at the church an hour prior to the service.

    Memorials may be given to the Eau Claire Wesleyan Church for Missions.

    Blanche I. Brice, 93, of St. John's Apartments, Eau Claire went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 15, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
    Blanche was born May 4, 1906, the daughter of Carl and Amelia (Preston) Burns in Mondovi, WI. She married Hugh W. Brice on October 12, 1925 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

    She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Eau Claire for over 50 years. Blanche was a homemaker and she worked at SM Supply after her husband's death and until her retirement.

    Blanche was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hugh; two sisters, Gladys Baker and Charlotte Berg and an infant brother, Orrin. Blanche is survived by her daughter, Beverly Peterson of Eau Claire, five grandchildren, Judith (Harold) Ritter of Chippewa Falls, James (Nancy) Peterson of Chippewa Falls, Allan Peterson of Eau Claire, Daniel (Dianna) Peterson of Chippewa Falls, Debra (Troy) Koteras of Chippewa Falls, eight great-grandchildren, Heather and Robert Ritter, Elizabeth Peterson, Christopher Peterson, Brice and Shawn Peterson, Benjamin and Keah Koteras; and many other relatives and friends.

    Blanche was a loving and wonderful Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend to many. She loved her family, taking care of and arranging flowers, crocheting, baking cookies, visiting with her friends at St. Johns, picnics, boating and being active right up to shortly before her death. We will all miss you grandma-ma!

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 1999 at First Baptist Church in Eau Claire with Pastor Richard Goins and Pastor Marilyn Marston officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home in Eau Claire and an hour before the services on Tuesday at the church. Memorials will be given to First Baptist Church in Eau Claire.
