Nathaniel Pitkin was appointed Ensign by the General Assembly, May, 1716, in the militia company of his brother Ozias (Col. Rec., Vol. V, p. 550). He "owned his covenant" with the "First Church of Hartford" Sept. 17, 1699, at which time his oldest child, Nathaniel, was baptized. He joined in "full communion," and his wife, Hester, Sept. 15, 1700.

Nathaniel married Elizabeth WHITING in 1710. Elizabeth (daughter of Rev John WHITING and Phebe GREGSON) was born in 1678; died after 1753. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
