Dorothy, married third, before 5 June 1667, Richard Towsley (Tousland, Toucey, etc.) of Saybrook, Connecticut, whose earlier wife (not named) was seen there by John Winthrop Jr. on 5 March 1659/60 (Medical Records of John Winthrop, Massachusetts Historical Society). Towsley was nominated freeman at Saybrook on 10 October 1667 and died befoe 12 April 1676 when Dorothy was called widow Towsley in the administration of her son John Edward's estate. On 21 February 1679/80, "Dorothy Toosland, widow of Richard," sold land to Thomas Bull (Saybrook Deeds, 1:9) and most likely returned to Wethersfield about that time with her daughter Lydia Edwards..
