Name:
Joseph Taylor of Marshfield, yeoman, d. 13 Sept. 1727 and is bur. in the Winslow Burying Ground. Experience Taylor was admitted to the First Church in marshfield 1 Aug. 1697, and on 8 Aug. 1697 her children, Richard, Mary, Joseph, Jr., and Ebenezer were baptized (The Mayflower Descendant). In his will, made in 1727 and proved 2 Oct 1727, Joseph Taylor mentions his beloved wife Experience, his son Ebenezer, to whom he leaves his farm at Turkey Point, his sons Samuel and timothy, and his daughter Mary. Excerpt from "Robert Carver and Some of His Descendants" by NEHGS: The following notice of William Carver's death appeared in the "Boston Gazette and Country Journal" of Monday, 20 Oct. 1760, the statement about William Carver's relationship to Gov. John Carver being, of course, an error:
"We hear from Marshfield in the County of Plymouth that on the 2nd inst. died there Mr. William Carver, aged 102 years, who retained his reason to the last. He was brother's son to the ancient Gov. Carver of the Plymouth Colony, and left behind him the fifth generation of male issue, in all, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, ninety-six."
In his will, dated 5 Apr. 1742 and proved 10 Oct. 1760, William Carver mentioned four sons, John, William, Josiah, and Joshua, and four daughters, Millicent Carver, Mary Standish, Elizabeth Taylor, and Sarah Taylor. His son Joshua was made sole executor. According to an appraisal dated 24 Oct. 1760 the total value of his estate was L 1030.11s. 5d.

William married Elizabeth FOSTER on 18 Jan 1682 in Marshfield, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts. Elizabeth (daughter of Deacon John FOSTER and Mary CHILLINGSWORTH) was born on 24 Sep 1664 in Marshfield, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts; died in Jun 1715 in Marshfield, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts.
