    Raymond Lester Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Jones of 627 Chatham street, passed away at the home of his sister, Mrs. D. L. Milliard of Whitewater, Sunday evening at nine o'clock. Some time ago Raymond was taken ill with influenza which resulted in pneumonia and then neuralgia of the heart causing his death. The deceased was born in the town of Janesville, Dec. 9, 1885. He leaves to mourn his loss his father and mother of this city, two sisters, Mrs. D.L. Milliard of Whitewater and Mrs. Charles E. Quinn of this city, and one brother, Willis, in France...

    Mrs. Jane Slawson passed away at six o'clock last evening at the home of her son, William Slawson, 55 Fourth avenue. Yesterday was her sixty-sixth birthday anniversary. Her original home was in the state of Vermont, from whence she came to Wisconsin while a little girl. For the past eighteen years Mrs. Slawson had made Janesville her home and lived a noble, helpful life devoted largely to the well-being and happiness of others. Her husband died sixteen years ago. Five children survive the mother. They are Mrs. J.F. Turnbull, Mrs. D.W. Longsdorif, Mrs. George Jones, W.E. Slawson, and H.W. Slawson...
