Thomas Loring removed to Duxbury, where he bought some land in 1702 and had grants of land from the town in 1710 and 1712. His farm was opposite the present village of Kingston, at Island Creek. Was selectman and treasurer. he was lieutenant of the local military company. Was on the Grand Jury in 1694; on petit jury in 1722; was elected to the General Court in 1717. He bought a farm in Bridgewater; owned three negro slaves.

Thomas married Deborah CUSHING on 19 Apr 1699 in Plymouth, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts. Deborah (daughter of John CUSHING and Sarah HAWKE) was born on 14 Sep 1674 in Scituate, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts; died on 18 Oct 1770 in Little Compton, Newport County, Rhode Island. Name:
Thomas Loring, Jr., was a worthy successor of his father in Hull; was a selectman of the town in 1671, 1674 and 1675.
He died at his residence in Hull in the year 1678; the date is not on record. but it was between December 24 when he made his will and February 25 when the inventory of his estate was made, in what they then called the "twelfth month" of the year; the will was proved March 12, or on the "twelfth day of the first month," so called, though they kept the old year number till the twenty-fifth of March, the Day of the Annunciation of the Virgin, which was New Year's Day.

Thomas married Hannah JACOB on 16 Dec 1657 in Hingham, Massachusetts. Hannah was christened on 23 Feb 1639/40; died on 20 Oct 1720. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
