Name:
He was imprisoned in the summer of 1580 for his zeal in the cause of his communion. He was known as the 'Valiant', and served in 1588 as a volunteer with the imperial army in Hungary against the Turks, and having taken a standard from the enemy at Gran, in Hungary, was created by the Emperor Rudolph II, on 14 Dec. 1595, a Count of the Holy roman Empire. He was created Baron Arundell of Wardour, co. Wilts, on 4 May 1605.

Thomas married Anne PHILIPSON on 1 Jul 1608. Anne died on 28 Jun 1637 in Lennox House, Drury Lane. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
