Judith married Judge Ephraim LEONARD on 28 May 1739. Ephraim (son of George LEONARD and Anna W. TISDALE) was born on 16 Jan 1705/6 in Norton, Massachusetts; died on 2 May 1786 in Mansfield, Bristol Co., Massachusetts; was buried in Leonard Cemetery, Mansfield Bristol Co., Massachusetts. He, with his brothers Matthew and Joseph, removed from Ipswich and in 1695 bought in Connecticut about two thousand acres in the town of Norwich (afterward Lisbon) on which Jabez settled. The new settlement was called Newent in remembrance of the English home of the Perkins family. Joseph and Jabez were leading men in the affairs of the town and the church, and Jabez became one of the wealthiest and most honored citizens of Norwich. He was admitted freeman in 1701; and in May, 1721, was appointed and commissioned by the General Court to be Captain of the Fourth Company in the North East Society of Norwich. He was Deputy to the General Court at Hartford in 170, 1722, 1723, 1728, and Justice of the Peace for New London County, 1732-1741.

Jabez married Hannah LATHROP on 30 Jun 1698 in Norwich, New London, Connecticut, USA. Hannah (daughter of Samuel LOTHROP and Hannah ADGATE) was born on 6 Jan 1677 in Norwich, New London Co., Connecticut; died on 14 Apr 1721 in Norwich, New London Co., Connecticut. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
