    John II Bamfield, of poltimore, suc. by 1329, when Babcary, Somerset lands were conveyed to him by Fine, naming his 1st wife Isabel Cobham, dau. of Lord Henry Cobham's yr. bro. Sir John cobham of Blackborough, by Amicia Bolhay, dau. of Sir James Bolhay of Poltimore manor, Devon; m. (2) by 1337 Joan Huxham, dau. Wiliam Huxham, of that Devon Manor, who d.s.p. as Bamfield's widow . He also paid homage to his cousin Joh, Lord Beauchamp of hatch, for lands held of him.
