Name:
John De Beaumont, Knt., K.G., 4th Lord Beaumont, son and heir was born about 1361 (aged eight at his father's death). He was knighted by King Edward III on 23 Apr 1377. He served in the French wars and against the partizans of Pope Clement VII. In 1389 he was P.C. and Warden of the Wet Marches towards Scotland, and Admiral of the North, and was Constable of Dover Castle and Warden of the Cinque Ports from 1392/3 till his death. He was summoned to Parliament from 29 Aug 1383. He was created Knight of the Garter in 1393.

Henry De Beaumont, of Folkingham, co. Lincoln, 3rd Lord Beaumont, son and heir, was born in Brabant (during his mother's attendance on the Queen Consort Philippe) in 1340, and had consequently to be naturalised by Act of Parliament in 1351 He was summoned to Parliament as Baron from 14 Aug 1362.

Henry married Margaret DE VERE before 1361. Margaret (daughter of John DE VERE and Maud DE BADLESMERE) died on 15 Jun 1398; was buried in Grey Friars, Newgate. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
