Jeanine J. Henderson, 83, of Litchfield, formerly of New Milford, died April 2 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was the widow of Bill Ruscoe, Anthony Corna and Peter Henderson Sr.

She was born April 29, 1929, in Barre, Vt., daughter of the late Adelard and Flora Chaloux Marquis.

She was employed as a dietary aide at New Milford Hospital for 14 years, retiring in 1994.

She lived most of her life in New Milford, where she was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 1672.

She was known to all her children's friends as "Mom," and enjoyed a special bond with granddaughter Corynne Kovacs.

She was a great listener and had unconditional love for her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Neil Ruscoe, of Roxbury, and James Corna, of Southbury; a daughter, Nancy Kovacs, of Litchfield; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sons, Patrick, Robert and Curtis Ruscoe; a sister, Rheta Byrd; and two grandsons, Robbie Ruscoe and Ryan Ruscoe.

Burial was at St. Francis Cemetery in New Milford.

The Lillis Funeral Home in New Milford was in charge of arrangements.
