Jeannette Hamilton Morse aged 64 and wife of the Rev. Edward P Morse, died in her Elmira home at 601 1-2 West Clinton St., on Saturday, November 21,(1931), after a brief illness of serious nature although she had been in poor health for many months. For some 29 years a resident of Troy, in the Presbyterian manse on West Main St., Mrs. Morse made many deep and lasting friendships. A woman of unusually sweet disposition, she was devoted to her church, her family and her friends. To her, although a native of Illinois, Troy was always home and it was to Troy that the body was brought for the funeral in the Presbyterian Church Tuesday afternoon with burial in Glenwood Cemetery. Rev. Montague White officiated. The survivors of Mrs. Morse, besides her husband, are five children: John H. Morse of Philadelphia; F. Edward Morse of Elko, Nevada; *Mrs. Wayne L. Lowe of Hayanis, Mass.; and the Miss Anne J. and Barbara F. Morse at home. Three grandchildren survive as do two sisters, Mrs. P. R. Ayers and Mrs. G. P. Potee, of St Louis, Mo. and two brothers, W. A. Hamilton of Lake Arthur.
