    Carol J. Tufano age 99, of Matamoras, PA and formerly a long time resident of Lower Mongaup in the Town of Lumberland passed away, Friday, December 3, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born on December 16, 1921 in the Town of Greenville, NY, the daughter of the late Alvord and Mary Olive Mason Phillips. She retired as an assembler for Kolmar Labs, in Port Jervis. Carol married Bernard "Nick" Tufano, who pre-deceased her in 2013. She is survived by her two sons; Anthony Tufano of Port Charlotte, Florida, Nicholas Tufano and his wife Maureen of Port Jervis, her daughter Bernadette Tufano of Deltona, Florida, her beloved grandchildren; Teresa and her husband Frank, Tony, Gina, Lisa and her husband Brian, Michele and her husband Darryl, Staci and her husband Ray, Amy and her husband Mike, Keith and his wife Patsi, Scott and his wife Cathy, Jessica and her husband Robert, Paula and her companion Ronnie, Richie and his wife Kirsten, Nancy, Dawn and her husband Rob, her great grandchildren; Chelsea and her husband Derek, Brandon, Coral, Willow and her wife Zuri, Iris, Nicole and her fiancé Richard, Nicholas, Isabella and her fiancé Robert, Olivia, Sophia, Samuel, Sasha, Jake, Mason, Lucas, Dane, Robbie, Danica, Cody, Tyler and his wife Lauren and Ashlyn, her two great great grandchildren; Arabella and Cole, her son-in-law Robert Carpenter and her sister-in-law Helene Phillips, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Carol was pre-deceased by her daughter, Nancy Carpenter, her daughter- in-law Patricia Tufano, her granddaughter, Laurie Tufano, and her great grandson, Dustin Morgan, her brothers; Alvord, and Richard Phillips and her sisters; Madge Benjamin and Rotha Pedlock. Visitation will be held 11AM-1 PM, Friday, December 10, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM, Friday at the Funeral Home. Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst will officiate. Interment will follow at the Lower Mongaup Cemetery, Lower Mongaup, Town of Lumberland. Arrangements are by the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E.
