    He purchased land in Newton of Isaac and Ann Hammond in 1693 and 1694. Was executor of John Clark's will in 1695. He already owned a homestead in Newton, which he purchased of nathaniel Hammond, on July 6, 1688.

    There appears to have been a connection between the families previous to his marriage, as on march 25, 1650, the proprietors of Cambridge gave a deed of land in Shawshine (Billerica) and among them "William Chamberline" signed for "Thomas Hammond's lott." (Middlesex Deeds, Vol. 4, p. 159)

    Thomas married Elizabeth HAMMOND on 18 Apr 1682. Elizabeth (daughter of Thomas HAMMOND and Elizabeth STEDMAN) was born on 3 Nov 1664 in Newton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts; died on 1 Feb 1733 in Newton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
