He was town clerk of Little Compton for nine years: 1725-30 and 1732-36. He lived on Swamp Road on the place later owned by Franklin C. Southworth and owned in 1890 by William Tweed Peakham.

Her will, proved 4 Dec. 1770: "...To son Constant my loom and Willard's Body of Divinity. One small pair of stilliards. To son Joseph 15 shillings. To daughter Elizabeth Corey three pewter platters and four plates. To daughter Sarah Lawton my best bed and two silver spoons. To daughter Mary Wilbor one iron pot, two silver spoons and three pounds five shillings lawful money. To daughtger Abigail Woodworth one looking glass and three pounds five shillings. Rest residue to three daughters. My son-in-law Daniel Wilbour to be my executor..."

Joseph married Mary BLAGUE on 20 Apr 1710 in Little Compton, Rhode Island. Mary (daughter of Joseph BLAGUE and Martha KIRTLAND) was born in 1691; died on 29 Oct 1770 in Little Compton, Newport County, Rhode Island; was buried in Old Commons Cemetery, Little Compton, Rhode Island.
