    Biography by Mike & Sandy Requet: Charles Kimball PaDelford was my great-grandfather. He wa the husband of Lena May Large and the father of 3 children, including my grandmother Edith Belle PaDelford. "Charley" as he was called, was a small man in stature and worked various jobs in his lifetime. Some include teamster, stove mounter at Excelsior Stove Co., general laaborer, coal and wood merchant, a window washing business, house painter, and in later years, he worked in a downtown hotel as an elevator operator. He lived in Quincy, IL his entire life. Charlie was an avid fisherman on the Mississippi River. Frequently he sold his "catch" for the day to commerical fish markets on the riverfront.

    Charles married Lena Mae LARGE on 19 Dec 1903. Lena (daughter of Crede H. LARGE and Isabelle WHITE) was born on 22 May 1887 in Illinois, USA; died on 01 Apr 1960 in Quincy, Adams Co., Illinois; was buried on 05 Apr 1960 in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Adams Co., Illinois.
