    Perry James Baker was born April 30, 1918, in Leedey, Oklahoma to Oliver Perry "O.P" and Mary Ellen (Bales) Baker.

    He departed this life on November 27, 2016, at his home in Pryor at the age of 98 years, 6 months, and 28 days.

    Perry grew up and attended school in Leedey and graduated from Leedey High School in 1936.

    In January of 1941, he joined the United States Army. During his time in the army, he served in Africa, Sicily, and Italy.

    He received two Bronze Stars, the National Service Ribbon, and a Purple Heart.

    He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

    On December 12, 1945, he married the love of his life Jettie Pauline Williams and from their union came four children.

    He was a self-employed farmer/rancher.

    He enjoyed spending time in Western Oklahoma.

    He loved people and enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. Perry's passion in life was working his farm and ranch.

    He was a great man and servant to our country and he will be deeply missed.

    He is survived by two sons, Ronnie James Baker and Gary Wayne Baker; two daughters, Jean Ellen Reed and husband James and Sandra Faye True and husband Raymond; eight grandchildren, Susie Jones of Batesville, Arkansas, Tonee True of Pryor, Shelley Holt of Broken Arrow, James Reed of Tulsa, Jennifer Ritter of Coweta, Julie Lehrman of Broken Arrow, Nick Baker of Springfield, Missouri and Jesse Baker of Tulsa and fifteen great-grandchildren.

    He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and three brothers.

    Perry married Jettie Pauline WILLIAMS on 12 Dec 1945 in Custer Co., Oklahoma. Jettie (daughter of James Steve WILLIAMS and Lizzie Etta KINCAID) was born on 16 Apr 1923 in Rhea, Dewey Co., Oklahoma; died on 24 Dec 2010 in Pryor, Mayes Co., Oklahoma; was buried in Graham Memorial Cemetery, Pryor, Mayes Co., Oklahoma.     Funeral services for Jettie Pauline Williams Baker, 87, Pryor, are

    2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 29. The Rev. Dan Lewis will officiate and burial will follow at Graham Memorial Cemetery, Pryor. Services are entrusted to Stephens Memorial Chapel.

    Baker was born April 16, 1923 in Rhea, to James S. and Elizabeth Etta (Kincaid) Williams. She died Dec. 24, in Pryor at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 8 days.

    She lived in the Pryor area for approximately the last 52 years. She was a homemaker and married Perry Baker Dec. 12, 1945, in Arapaho. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Adair.

    She worked at Moots Hospital for several years and at the Holiday Motel in Pryor. She enjoyed working in the yard and helping Perry with their cattle. She also liked to quilt and cook. Her family was most important to her, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    She is survived by her husband, Perry, of the home; two sons, Ronnie James Baker and Gary Wayne Baker, both of Pryor; two daughters, Jean Reed and husband Jim, Tulsa, and Sandy True and husband Raymond, Pryor; eight grandchildren, Tonee, Shelley, Susie, James, Julie, Jennifer, Nick and Jesse; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Koscheski, Ardmore, and Faye Watson, Rustin, La.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Pete, and four sisters, Mabel, Bessie, Nellie and Juanita.

    The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, Dec. 28, from
