BOZEMAN, Mr. John Thomas, 81, a life- long resident resident of Montgomery, AL died Tuesday, January 28, 1997. Mr. Bozeman was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Kent Bozeman. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn B. Lawhorne and son-in-law, Wayne Lawhorne, Cincinnati, OH; one son, Wyatt Bozeman and daughter-in-law, Beverly C. Bozeman, Watkinsville, GA; grandson, Jeffery Lawhorne and his wife, Lectra Lawhorne, Kennesaw, GA; granddaughter, Stephanie Bozeman; grandson, Jonathan Bozeman, both of Watkinsville, GA; two brothers, Ray Bozeman and Walter Bozeman, both of Montgomery, AL; one sister, Carolyn Hussey, Largo, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mr. Bozeman had been a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church for over 60 years and, until his recent illness, maintained an active interest in church music and ministry to those in need. In recognition of his many years of faithful service, Cloverdale Baptist Church recently accorded him the honor of the Office of Deacon Emeritus. The funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Roy McKay and Dr. George Bagley, will be held at Leak- Memory Chapel on Saturday, February 1, 1997 at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery immediately following the service. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Cloverdale Baptist Church and members of the James Sunday School Class of Cloverdale Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cloverdale Baptist Church Building Fund or to their favorite charity.

She was a member of Northeast Park Baptist Church, St. Petersburg. Surviving are her husband, Walter C. Bozeman, 4 sons, John Thomas, Walter H., and Ray, all of Montgomery, Ala., and Richard W. of Tampa, a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Hammond, Largo, Florida, 11 grandchildren and several great- grandchildren, Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon in the White Chapel Funeral Home, 43 South Jackson St.. Montgomery, Ala., with the Reverend Thomas Sinclair officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery, Ala. Wilhelm-Thurston Funeral Home in charge locally.
