William A. Wiseman Sr., 91, of La Vernia, died Sunday, July 21, 1996, in La Vernia.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. July 24, 1996, in Concrete Cemetery, with memorial services to follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Purdy officiating. Note about his name: William was named after his father, and although current conventional usage would refer to him as William Madison Wiseman, Jr., the only suffix I have documented is what appeared in his obituary, William Madison Wiseman, Sr., which is the name used for this memorial page. (Note that his son, also named William Madison Wiseman was referred to in his obituary as William Madison Wiseman, III, in line with modern conventional suffix usage.)
