  1. 1.  Frederick KINT was born in 1748 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania (son of Johann-Georg KINTZ and Maria Elisabeth QUICKEL); died in 1825 in York Township, Belmont Co., Ohio.

    Name:
    Frederick Kint, the father of Anna Catherine, lived in Manheim township, York County, just south of Paradise Township, before, in 1780 he married Susanna Bager, daughter of Christian Frederick Bager and Anna Juliana Schwingel. Frederick and Susanna initially farmed in Paradise Count and Anna Catherine was born there 29 Feb 1788. About 1805 they followed Abraham Zook, a Mennonite preacher, to Kishacoquillas Valley in Mifflin County, PA. Mifflin county tax records indicate the Kint family left by 1815 and they may have lived near Pittsburg a few years before joining the Harman's on board the boat to Ohio.

    Frederick married Susanna BAGER about 1780. Susanna was born about 1757 in Oerlinxweiler, Saarbrucken, German. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Name:
    The ancestry of John Harman's wife, Anna Catherine Kint, has been traced to her grandfather Johan-Georg Kintz who was born about 1716 in the palatinate area of Germany. He arrived at the Port of Philadelphia 26 Sep 1737 on board the ship "St. Andrew Galley." Johan-Georg married Maria Elizabeth Quickel 7 Mar 1742 and lived near York in the portion of Lancaster County that became York County in 1749. The names of two sons are known: Christian born about 1743 and Frederick born abut 1748. He is listed as George Keentz on a number of 1750, 1760 & 1770 documents but records also give the name as Kint, Kindt, Kind, and Kuntz.

    Johann-Georg married Maria Elisabeth QUICKEL on 7 Mar 1742 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Maria was born about 1722 in Germany. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
