    Name:
    Thomas Low was baptized in Groton, Suffolk, 8 May 1631. He married in Chebacco, Ipswich, 4 July 1660, MARTHA BORMAN, born about 1641, daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Offing) Boreman of Ipswich, Martha Boreman and Thomas Low were married for fifty-two years. Martha died in Chebacco 22 January 1720 aged 79, and was buried at the Old Essex Cemetery in Essex, with her husband. Thomas Low died 12 April 1712, "Deacon Thomas, at 80 years" in Chebacco. the inscription on their gravestone reads: 'As you are, so were we. As we are, you shall be.'

    In her will, written 31 January 1714/5 and filed 29 February 1720, Martha mentioned her children Jonathan, David, Martha Dodge, Samuel, Johanna Hale, Sarah Webster, and Abigail Goodhue, and her grandchildren Symonds, Thomas, Elizabeth, John (children of Thomas), john, Thomas, and Nathaniel (children of John, Hannah not mentioned).

    On 26 September 1676, Thomas was a member of the Jury of Trials in Ipswich, and he served as an Overseer of the Poor in Chebacco in 1698. His will, written 17 June 1718, was filed on 5 May 1712, He left specific bequests to each of his seven living children. His sons Jonathan and Samuel inherited the homestead in Chebacco.

    Thomas married Martha BORMAN on 4 Jul 1660 in Chebacco, Ipswich, Massachusetts. Martha was born about 1641; died on 22 Jan 1720 in Chebacco, Ipswich, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
