Obituary: Waupun Leader Thursday, Jan. 20, 1916 "Deaths. Con. Cary died at the county house in Juneau, Tuesday morning, Jan. 18th from a general breakdown. He had been a resident of Waupun since his boyhood days, has lived alone since the death of his other a number of years ago. He was janitor of the West ward school for years, until from age and inability to work he resigned the job. He went to Juneau about six months ago and has received the best of care. The remains were met at Chester Wednesday afternoon and taken to the undertaking rooms of Schilling and Kotenberg. Funeral services will be held this fornoon from St. Joseph's Church. Rev. E.J. McCarthy officiating. Burial in the family lot in the Catholic cemetery"

Mary's marriage to Thomas Carey/Cary took place before the Cappamore records began. She immigrated to America after her husband's death, probably after 1852 when her paretns and siblings emigrated, with her children John and Conn. (Cappamore, Co. Limerick, parish records show 5 Carys born to the same parents, two named Thomas. It is likely the second Thomas was born after the first one died.) Lizzie Rowles family history only mentions two boys and that Thomas Carey died and was buried in Ireland
