Having conspired (with Scrope of Masham and Grey of Heton) to depose King Henry V and set up in his place the Earl of March (the heir general of King Edward III), Richard of Cambridge, Earl of Cambridge, was attained and beheaded at Southampton Green on 5 Aug. 1415, buried in the Chapel of 'God's House' at Southampton.
