    Mark V. Bortoli, age 75, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023.

    Survived by his sons, Brandon Bortoli, and Matthew (Jennifer) Bortoli; grandchildren, Luke, Jada, and Jonah; sisters, Debbie (Tom) Vargo and LuAnn (Mick) Krall. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

    Preceded in death by his wife, Melissa J. Bortoli; and his parents, Louis (Ida) Bortoli.

    Mark enjoyed watching all Chicago sports, mowing the grass, being outside listening to music, playing bingo, and going to classic car shows. Also loved spending time with his dog, Tippy.

    We welcome family and friends to his services being held with full military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Elwood, IL on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.

    Melissa was an avid reader and gardener. She was a mother to everyone in her life. She loved the beach and her dog, Tippy.

    She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Mark Bortoli; her two sons, Brandon (Julie) Bortoli and Matthew Bortoli, 3 grandchildren, who affectionately called her 'Mommo', Jada, Jonah, and Luke; 2 sisters, Doris (Ron) Atkinson, Joanne Poynor; a brother, James (Debi) Cottle, special nieces, Doreen (Derek) Hanc and Rhonda (Terrence) Sykes. Numerous other nieces and nephews also survive.

    Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Dorothy (Nee Shumate) Cottle and a sister Janet (Fred) Dutter.

    Burial: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
