    Earl G. Bonar

    Funeral services for Earl G. Bonar, prominent 60 year-old farmer of Route One, Powhatan were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the late residence. Burial was in the Powhatan Cemetery. Mr. Bonar died about five o'clock Saturday evening, October 3, (1954), when he suffered an acute heart attack when stung by a yellow jacket while driving his car near Bethesda. A native of the community, he was a son of the late Amos and Charlotte Schnegg Bonar. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Estella Fraley Bonar; one son, Vernon Bonar of Shadyside; one daughter, Mrs. Amos Caldwell, of West Bellaire; one brother, George Bonar, of Powhatan, Route One; one sister, Mrs. Eva Walter, of Powhatan, Route One, and two grandchildren.

    Amos G. Bonar
    Amos G. Bonar, retired farmer, 78, died early Thursday morning 6/30/1938, at his home in Powhatan. he had spend his entire life in that district and was a son of Dawson and Elizabeth Bonar. Surviving are his wife and three children: Earl Bonar, George Bonar and Mrs. Eva Walters, of Powhatan. A sister at Little Hocking also survives. funeral services were conducted at 1:00 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, in charge of Rev. Cole of the M.E. Church. burial was made in the Powhatan Cemetery.

    Mrs. Charlotte Bonar
    Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte Schnegg Bonar, 91, widow of Amos Bonar, were held, Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the home of her son, Earl Bonar, on Powhatan Rt. 1. Rev. John Thompson officiated. Interment was in the Powhatan Cemetery. Mrs. Bonar died Sunday, July 26, 1953 in her home. She was born in Belmont county, a daughter of Jacob and Marie Swegard Schnegg. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eva Walter, two sons, George and Earl Bonar, all of Powhatan, Route 1; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
