      A native of Taylorville, Ill., he had worked for American Brake Shoe since he was 15. He spent most of his time in St. Louis before coming to Akron two years ago. He was a member of the Moolah Shrine in St. Louis. He leaves his wife, Ann, daughters Barbara Hoskins of Jefferson City, Mo., and Andrea, Paula, and Sally at home, and a grandchild."
