  • Name Henry 'hotspur ' PERCY  [1, 2, 3, 4
    • Henry Percy 'Harry hotspur', Knt., K.B., K.G., son and heir apparent, of Henry Percy 4th Lord Percy by Margaret, daughter of Ralph de Neville, 4th Lord Neville of Raby, Durham. He attended King Richard II on his expedition into Scotland in 1385, and was called by the Scots 'Haatspore'. In 1399 he acted with his father in the proceedings which placed King Henry IV on the throne. With is father, he won the notable victory of Homildon Hill over the Scots. Friction with the King, however, led to open conflict. Sir Henry Percy was slain at Shrewsbury on 21 July 1403, and was buried at York Minster. [1]
