    • Some historians believe that Gundred to be the daughter of William the Conqueror and his wife Matilda of Flanders, though not certain. Gundred's tomb was discovered at a later time in Isfield Church, Sussex, where it had been moved on the dissolution of the monasteries in the late 1530's. Gundred died in childbed.
