- Samuel made his will Jan. 25, 1690, and died soon afterwards, it was probated May 19, 1690, his widow Elizabeth and son John were executors; he m. Elizabeth, dau. of Nicholas White, she d. 1707. Mr. White was one of the early settlers of Taunton. Samuel hall's homestead was about a mile east of his father's and near the bloomery which he as largely interested in supplying; he was a large land holder, sharing in the "Taunton North and South Purchases" also inheriting and purchasing in the original tract; he held minor offices in town and was a member of the original church, and contributed four acres towards improving the parsonage for Rev. Samuel Danforth. [1]
