Name |
William WILBOR [1, 2] |
- His will, recorded in Little Compton wills, book 3, page 338, dated 6 June 1786 and proved 4 Oct. 1796: "...To wife Hannah one third of household goods, two cows and one horse. To son Joseph land that I purchased of John Wood with buildings. To sons William and Jonathan my homestead farm with buildings. William to have the north side and Jonathan to have the south side. To son Benjamin, as he will not ever be capable of looking out for himself, William and Jonathan to care for him. To daughters, Mary, Los, Deborah, Emlin and Hannah, all household furniture not given away except two large meat tubs, loom and tackling...To wife Hannah the use of one half of my dwelling house as long as she remains my widow. To sons William and Jonathan the rest and residue. To my five daughters if unmarried the use of certain real estate..."
His homestead farm is the place in district No. 2, on the east side of the main road, which belonged to Oliver H. Wilbor in 1900. The place he gave to his son Joseph was probably the one which bordered on Taylor's Lane and was four lots long from the road to the shore and one lot wide. [1]
