Celia married to Marion Slauson on 28 January 1951 at Brooklyn. After her marriage, she relocated to Roxbury where her husband was a farmer. Celia and Marion had one child, George Slauson. She died at Margaretville Hospital. Celia was survived by her husband, son, two sisters, Rose Mekinc Grippe and Caroline Mekinc Girenilli, and a half-brother, Frank Mekinc.
