    Notes:

    Name:
Janna Deming was a farmer living in that part of Wethersfield afterwards known as Newington. In 1741 he was a private in the muster of Newington men drafted to go in the expedition against the West Indies. He appears to have attained the rank of Sergeant, and was so called by his friends and neighbors. That he was a man of some influence in the church is shown by the fact that in 1770 he was one of a committee "to seat the meeting house, and that the men and their wives be seated together." His estate, which inventoried 832 pounds, was distributed by his will among his children.

Janna married Anna KILBOURNE on 14 Jun 1750 in Newington, Connecticut. Anna was born on 20 Jun 1728; died on 12 Apr 1813. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
