Member Daughters of Utah Pioneers; Gold Star Mothers; former organist for 17th and Waterloo Wards; volunteer worker 25 years at Veterans Administration Hospital.
    Survived by son, Dr. Kenneth S., Eureka, California; brothers and sister, Mark, Portland, Oregon; Jacob (Jay) Laguna, California; Vivian and Mrs. Leah S. Hall, Salt Lake City; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
    Burial Salt Lake City Cemetery.

    Name:
    First Lieutenant Richard M. Fletcher, 25, native and lifelong resident of Salt Lake City, and a son of Mrs. Erma Snow Fletcher, was killed Tuesday in an automobile accident while on army maneuvers near Nashville, Tenn, his mother was informed Wednesday.
    Lieutenant Fletcher, a graduate of South High School and the University of Utah, was active in R O T C at the university and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the army reserve corps in June, 1940. He was called to active duty in January 1941.
    He was born in Salt Lake city on September 18, 1917 a son of Milton P. and Erma Snow Fletcher. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his widow, Mrs. Wanda Jones Fletcher, a native Salt Laker, who is living at Nashville, Tenn; a four month old son, Richard Brent Fletcher, and a brother, Kenneth S. Fletcher, an aviation cadet in training at Santa Ana, Cal.
