    Christopher Michael Hogan, 59, of Shepherd, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at his home. Funeral Services for Chris will be held on Friday, October 6, at 11 am at Clark Funeral Chapel with the rev. Nancy Casey-Fulton and Frita Benson co-officiating. Cremation will take place after the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 5, from 7-9 pm. at Clark Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hogan Family. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel. Chris was born on November 9, 1946, in Lansing. he attended Michigan State university where he graduated in 1968 with a Master's degree Chris was currently employed for the State of Michigan at the Carson City Correctional Facility as a prison counselor. prior to that, he had been a counselor at Community Mental health in Lansing and the Mt. Pleasant Center. Chris married Barbara Keehbauch on September 27, 1975, in Midland. He collected antiques and military items and enjoyed spending time at his cabin in the Upper Peninsula. Chris is survived by his wife, Barbara; his sons Airman 1st Class Daniel L. Hogan and Benjamin H. Hogan, both of Mt. Pleasant; his mother-in-law Marion Carpenter; brother Kevin (Karen) Hogan of DeWitt; sisters Cathy (Bill) Murgan of Interlochen and Carol (Rod) Shepard of Lansing, in-laws Ricard (Theresa) Keehbauch of Mt. Pleasant, Glenn Keehbauch of Georgia, Angela Hopkins of Mt. Pleasant, Patty (Randy) Owen of Saginaw, and Sandra (Mike) Hansen of Muskegon. Chris was preceded in death by his mother Betty Baumer Hogan and father-in-law harold Keehbauch.
