Richard J.O. BohuslavickyLongtime Shawnee resident Richard J.O. Bohuslavicky, 80, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, in Shawnee.
He was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Seminole, to Robert and Rachael (Lane) Bohuslavicky.
He joined the army in 1950 and retired from the military after 30 years of service. He was also a retired insurance agent.
He married Joyce Tollison in Okmulgee March 7, 1954, and they spent 54 loving years together. J.O. was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was also a member of the American Legion, VFW and the 40 et 8. J.O. enjoyed playing bingo and bowling with his wife and family. He loved spending time with his grandkids and his family.
J.O. was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his children, Terrie Puryear and husband, Dee, of Tulsa, Dick (Bo) Bohuslavicky and wife, Lynette, of Shawnee; siblings, Mary Fulton and husband, Al, of Oklahoma City, Glen Bohuslavicky and wife, Joyce, of Okmulgee; grandchildren, Doug Bush and wife, Cheryl, Christy Hall, Michael Myers and wife, Amanda, and Beau Bohuslavicky; great grandchildren, Allison Bush, Ashlyn Bush, and Trel Myers; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Waldo Young officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park
